E. Barrenechea: "We are having a great second half of the season"
The Valencia CF midfielder speaks to VCF Media
André Almeida is already contributing for Valencia CF since joining in the summer transfer window, and has been adapting to both the club and the city in the past few weeks. He sat down with VCF Media to talk about his experience so far.
Adapting to Valencia
I'm very happy. I didn't expect the fans to be so great. They've welcomed me very well. I feel at home and I want to bring a lot of happiness to the fans. I like the city a lot. I like the club and the people here. I've had a great welcome.
A new style of football
I like Spanish football a lot. It's a little different to Portugal. There's more strength and it's faster. I like the intensity. I like having the ball at my feet. Gattuso likes a high press, and for us to have the ball.
Playing at Mestalla
I'm very happy to have made my debut at Mestalla. I love the fans and hope to play a lot more, helping the team to achieve their goals.
I knew that the fans were great, but I didn't imagine they would be so passionate, singing together and supporting the team. I like it a lot. It helps the players a lot. It gives us a lot of strength.
His performances so far
I've started very well. I've provided two assists and I hope to continue helping the team with assists and goals. I came here to keep on growing as a player and as a person. I hope to do that. I think that coming here was the right step.
It's great to help the team, but it's better to win the game. I hope that in the next game, against Celta Vigo, we can win.
Playing against Celta Vigo this weekend
We want to win every game. We want to win this one, and we need the support of the fans. Together, we are stronger.
