Anil Murthy: "The Centenary did justice to Valencia CF's 100 years of history"

"For more than a year, we had been planning acts for the celebration of 100 years of Valencia CF. Some photograph collectors demanded more than 1 million euros for the loan of their images to the club, and this is just one example of many obstacles," he explained.

"Thus, we realised that we should plan the Centenary with the clear idea that an altruistic love for Valencia CF was the most important thing. My colleagues needed a push to make this an exceptional Centenary befitting of this club, and we needed to involve as many people as possible: Businesses, collectives, legends, authorities, journalists, fans etc... in order to show that passion for the club is very much alive."

"We wanted the Centenary to belong to everyone, and to be celebrated for and by Valencianistas. Like everybody who works at the club each day, Valencianistas act because they have Valencia CF in their hearts."

“We saw this on Sunday. We were all overcome with joy and proud of all that we had been able to do," Mr. Murthy continued.

"Personally, I am very proud of the professionals at this club and at the VCF Foundation. I also can't forget the support of businesses in the Valencia region, who have helped make our dream of organising a great Centenary come true. Beyond their financial support, the business community have sent a message of confidence in this project."

"I want to make a special mention for CaixaBank, one of the businesses most firmly rooted in the region and that supported the Centenary most strongly."

"What we have experienced over the last few days has made us stronger, and the Centenary did justice to the 100 years of history that Valencia CF have. I'm sure that the best is still to come, with the effort and unity of all those who love the club."

Xicu Costa: “We are delighted to be committed to Valencia CF"

Fórum Centenari host Xicu Costa, Territorial Director for CaixaBank in the Valencia region, added that "We are delighted to be committed to Valencia CF. Our two entities have parallels; we don't just share a sponsorship agreement, but we also share contributions to social work and values such as trust, quality and social commitment."

"We both want to be agile, demanding, innovative, approachable, committed, responsible and -like the club- honest and transparent."

Also present at the event were various collaborators, some VCF Legends and first team players Carlos Soler and Jaume Domenech.
