Anil Murthy: "We all agree that we are very close to our objectives"

This Tuesday, Valencia CF president Anil Murthy, accompanied by board member José Luis Zaragosi, attended an exhibition game of 'A-Ball', a wheelchair football discipline supported by the club.
He also spoke about the current situation at the club, urging everybody to focus on the objectives at hand.
"The absences are what they are. We had them last year as well. What's important is that we are all -the captains and myself- in agreement that we are very close to our objectives. It's time to work and to fight with commitment and demand on ourselves. We have to go for the 13 games that remain in LaLiga, plus the comeback against Atalanta. We have to give our all, because the fans deserve it. Everybody was so excited about this year, and we can't fail."
Talking about the A-Ball initiative, he explained that "VCF Footballers Association president Fernando Giner is a very brave person. He told me about this two years ago and I said that we should make it a reality, because it is a very nice project. In Madrid I met somebody who started playing A-Ball after suffering an accident, and is happy to be able to play sport again. These are the nice things about football, and I want to congratulate Fernando for his perseverance."
Giner said of the exhibition, held at Valencia's main station: "From the first moment I told myself that these people could play football one day. It's satisfying that this discipline was created in Valencia, and that Valencia CF are the first club to have a wheelchair football school."
