VCF Femenino defender and one of the captains, Berta Pujadas, will continue as a blanquinegra until at least, June 30th, 2022. Her contract as a Valencianista was running out on June 30th, 2021.
The 21-year-old centre-back (Barcelona, April 9th), she joined Valencia Valencia CF Femenino in the summer of 2019 from RCD Espanyol, which will see her third season at Valencia CF Femenino.
Despite her youth, she is gaining that much-needed experience for the team both on and off the pitch, which is turning her into a pivotal figure within the team. Likewise, she is adept at bringing the ball out from the back and she adds defensive solidity at the back.
She has 45 appearances to her name: 18 league appearances, one goal, one in the cup in the 2019-2020 season and 26 league appearances in the 2020-2021 season.
She became 2018 World Cup runner-up and she has always been a permanent fixture moving up through the Spain youth system as her recent U23 call-up goes to show.
VCF Femenino player, Berta Pujadas, ran the rule over signing her contract extension:
Berta Pujadas: "From the very first moment, they welcomed me really well at Valencia CF and right now I’m feeling like at home in Valencia. After a season of adaptation, this year I’m giving it my best”.
