Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
Marcos André (Coroatá, Brazil - October 20th, 1996) is Valencia CF's second signing for the 2021-2022 season. The Brazilian striker arrives to increase the offensive potential of the team and provide more options for coach José Bordalás. Despite his youth, he knows Spanish football perfectly and wants to succeed with Valencia CF.
Marcos André is an all-around striker. He has a powerful physique that allows him to have a presence in the area, but he also has the technique and intelligence to move between the lines, link up with his teammates and play alongside a second striker, and boasts a tireless work ethic.
Since he arrived in Spain in 2015, Marcos André has spent time in several categories of Spanish football, rising to the elite. At the age of 19, he was signed for Celta Vigo B, who loaned him to Órdenes and UD Logroñés, who kept the player on a permanent basis. He was later signed by Real Valladolid and loaned out to CD Mirandés. In the Segunda División, he scored 12 goals. Thanks to his progression, in 2020 he was able to make his debut in the Primera División.
Marcos André's home country of Brazil has had an impact on his view of football. The new Valencia CF striker grew up admiring players like Ronaldinho or Ronaldo -whom he coincided with in the latter's role as President of Real Valladolid. He has brought the traditional Brazilian style to Spanish football, and wants to use it to succeed at his new club.
