VCF Mestalla will welcome Atzeneta UE at the weekend at the Antonio Puchades at 6 pm kick-off time looking to keep stringing home wins together. The b team will play their third consecutive fixture in eight days with further players back available from injury.
The latest player to rejoin the squad from injury was Alessandro Burlamaqui. The player was a starter on Tuesday, he was back in action a few days ago after having enjoyed the summer preseason since making a move from RCD Espanyol in the summer transfer window.
The game against Atzeneta UE is a top of the table clash albeit there is a long way to go in the season. Alessandro Burlamaqui gives his take on the keys of the game.
“We’re expecting a close game with both sides going toe to toe. We’ll come out to dictate ball possession and play. We’ll try to win it back as quickly as possible when off the ball. We believe that’s the way to edge closer to the three points.
We’re coming into the game with plenty of motivation and looking forward to taking all three points. The coaching staff tell us that it’s going to be a hard-fought game with Atzeneta UE looking to take the game to the opposition. We must dictate play and our brand of football.
I’m really happy to be back from injury, getting minutes under minutes under the belt and rejoining the team who are having such a great start to the season.
We’re looking forward to claiming all three points and give some joy to the fans. You can really feel their presence in the stands”.
