Get to know Carlos Corberán better
Review his career here: his training in Spain and his journey through Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Greece and England.
Samu Castillejo talked to VCF MEDIA about events in Valencia CF's 2-1 defeat on the road to Villarreal CF.
A tough loss
“In the first few minutes we suffered. From the 10th minute onwards on I think we dominated the first half until their equaliser, which hurt us a lot.
Deserving more
"I think that the goal before the break hurt us a lot. In the second half there was nothing happening for them or for us, but from an isolated move and a mistake from us, the game got away from us. We have to improve, as we've been saying, and late in games we've been letting results slip away. We've just started and we hope to improve."
"We have to think about what is coming up, which is a lot of games. We have to improve, to recharge our batteries and to face what is coming in the best way."
Support from the fans
"We are very grateful to our fans. We heard them a lot this afternoon and thank them."
