Celades: "We understand that this will be a very difficult game"

VCF coach Albert Celades gave a press conference in Lille on Tuesday, ahead of the Champions League Matchday 3 showdown

Upon arrival in Lille, Valencia CF coach Albert Celades spoke to the media in the Pierre Mauroy press conference to preview Wednesday's Champions League encounter.

LOSC Lille

"They have a magnificent team and we will have many difficulties in achieving our objective, which is to win. Even though they are still on zero points in the standings, we have to take into account that they've played two powerful teams in Ajax and Chelsea -who found it hard to win here. We understand that this will be a very difficult game."

The key to the game

"They are a very good, powerful team, who are very strong physically and have good individual talents. Osimhen is a wonderful player, but they don't just have him. That team had a fantastic season last year, and even though they are yet to pick up points in the Champions League, it isn't easy to take points against the teams they have played."

Two games against Lille in a fortnight

"We aren't interested in the 'double header', as we're focused completely on tomorrow's game. We shouldn't think further ahead than needed. Those experiences that these players have had should help us to face the game in the best way possible."

Rodrigo

"He's completed part of the process of his reintroduction into the group, but there is no chance of him playing a match just yet."

Francis Coquelin

"He is ready to play. Coquelin is providing great performances and we're very happy with what he offers us. He has individual quality and always makes himself available to the team, is versatile and is energetic. We only have good words about him."

The best formation for Soler

"Carlos can play in whichever system is used; he's a very high level player and his return is very good news for the team. He's been out for a long time, but he played some minutes against Atletico Madrid and felt good, which is good news for us."

Parejo's significance to the team

"He's a very important player, besides being our captain and everything that he provides. He's doing a great job and we are very happy to have a player like him -not just for his quality but also for his personality. He always wants to do things and always takes responsibility, which is very important. We're lucky to have a player like Parejo on our team."
