Baraja: "We want to dedicate the victory to the victims and those affected by the 'DANA'"
The coach previews the game against Real Betis
Valencia CF play CA Osasuna on Matchday 10 of the LaLiga season, and coach Albert Celades talked about the game, the return of Rodrigo Moreno, and the difficult draw against Lille from midweek in his pre-match press conference.
Osasuna
"Osasuna are often associated with direct play and moves off the second ball. They do dominate these types of moves, but they also have talent in other facets. Osasuna haven't lost at home in 1.5 years, 27 games... Things don't happen by chance. It's no coincidence. Not just this year, but last year as well, they played opposition of a very high level at home, and managed to win or draw. We know that we will encounter difficulties. Besides their intense play, that is uncomfortable for the opposition, they have many more attacking resources -which has led to that fantastic run."
Team morale
"In terms of morale, the team are in good shape. The game against Lille was obviously not our best performance, and overall it was a weak showing, but we've spoken about it and sat down to analyse it, in order to draw the best conclusions to keep moving forward and prepare for the game tomorrow."
Rodrigo's return to the squad
"The other day we said that there was no possibility of his playing. He hadn't overcome the discomfort that he had, but he put in a huge effort to recover. He's ok. He wanted to help the team and he's shown enormous commitment; he wanted to try to play against Lille, but it wasn't possible. He's in the squad I've named today, and will be available for tomorrow."
"I think that we all know that Rodrigo is a very important player for the team, with a lot of quality and the ability to make a difference. He has a lot of importance to us, and he's also one of our captains. He's very important in every aspect, but he's undoubtedly a difference maker for us."
Four games in 10 days
"It's something habitual. We are playing games every three days and we have to adapt to this situation. We're going to try to use as many resources as possible, and there isn't too much that will vary regarding what we've already been doing."
Mangala's fitness
"Mangala is a magnificent professional and an example for many players, but he isn't in the squad list through a tactical decision."
Guedes' recovery
"Injuries never come at a good time. After they happen, it's always a little hard to reach that level again. Gonçalo is doing better and we believe that if things develop as we all think, he will be able to rejoin the group next week. He's training on his own and hopefully soon he can be back with us. He's a player who has to help us a lot."
