“We play for you, Valencia”
Cristhian Mosquera, Javi Guerra and Diego López will compete with Spain's Under-21 side
Denis Cheryshev will return to Krasnodar this weekend, having been named in the Valencia CF squad for their crucial Europa League contest.
The game is a first time back in the Russian city for the VCF player since November 14th, 2012, when national team coach Fabio Capello played him in a friendly against the USA. Cheryshev came on 10 minutes from time in place of Maksim Grigorjev.
Coincidentally, it was against the same opposition that, 18 years previously, Cheryshev's father Dmitri made his debut for the Russian national team.
"I can't wait to play there. After the 2018 World Cup I have a lot of affection for the Russian fans," Cheryshev told VCF MEDIA before the game. The VCF star has two good friends playing for FC Krasnodar: Petrov and Gazinski.
