Civil Protección present Valencia CF with 'Covid-19 Pandemic Medal'

The participants in the ‘ADN Mestalla Solidari’ campaign recognise the club's work in combating the effects of the pandemic

Valencia CF recognised the great work of the Protección Civil  volunteer group on LaLiga Matchday 3, before their game against Deportivo Alavés. It was part of the ‘ADN Mestalla Solidari’ campaign, through which the club aims to give visibility and support to NGOs and Charitable Associations.

Martín Pérez and José Luis Ogando, president and treasurer of Protección Civil in the Valencia region, respectively, attended Mestalla and were welcomed at the Sala Juan Sol by VCF president Anil Murthy and Alavés president Alfonso Fernández, respectively.

The representatives in turn presented Valencia CF with the 'Covid-19 Pandemic Medal', in recognition of the club's constant fight against COVID-19 by the Autonomous Association of Protección Civil Volunteers.

Pérez stated that “as a Valencianista, I feel proud. In the month of August the Autonomous Association have approved the regulation of decorations of merit and the medal made for the COVID-19 pandemic. The first medal that has been awarded goes to Valencia CF for the great work they have been doing throughout this year and a half."
