Baraja: "We want to dedicate the victory to the victims and those affected by the 'DANA'"
The coach previews the game against Real Betis
Eliaquim Mangala and Jaume Costa wasted no time in joining up with the Valencia CF squad, following their respective signings on Tuesday evening. The two new arrivals, both returning to the club after previous spells at VCF, trained with the team in a Wednesday morning session.
The defensive reinforcements had no problem finding the Ciudad Deportiva, of course: Mangala played for Valencia CF on loan during the 2016/17 season, whilst Jaume Costa was brought up through the VCF Academy between the ages of 8 and 20. The latter also has the benefit of knowing perfectly how coach Marcelino García Toral works, having played under him at Villarreal CF.
Costa, Mangala and the rest of the squad trained on the pitch in a high intensity session, showing that they are ready for Saturday's LaLiga opener against Real Sociedad if called upon.
