Iranzo: ''We'LL be eternally grateful to the teammates and the people of the town"
The player from Picanya talks on VCF Media Radio about his experience after the flash floodings that devastated the southern region of Valencia.
Jaume Domènech made his long-awaited return from injury in Valencia CF's Copa del Rey win over UD Logroñes, and the captain spoke to VCF Media after the game.
A tricky game at Las Gaunas
We'd already played here a few years ago in the Copa del Rey, and we knew the difficulty of this stadium, where the fans get behind their team. It's a historic place. I'm happy because I think that we had a solid game, kept a clean sheet and went through -which was the aim.
Taking the Copa del Rey seriously
We've got recent examples of it. Valencia CF always take the Copa del Rey very seriously. It's a competition that we like a lot, and that we appreciate a lot. The fans like it too, and we're going to compete to go as far as possible.
Returning to action
It's been a long time. A long time without enjoying an official game. It's my first game back after the injury, and I'm very happy to be back on the pitch with my teammates, feeling that energy that is there whenever you're playing. It's very beautiful and I'm very happy to be back playing. I'm going to keep working to play much more.
The fans
Above all, I want to thank our fans. They've been coming to every game and they are incredible. It was a close game, and I'm sure that their support during the 90+ minutes has been fundamental for us winning.
