Sergi Goñi had a wonderful weekend supporting Valencia CF against CA Osasuna, as the Pamplona-based fan took in a 1-4 victory for his heroes. He was also part of the first 'Talk to Valencia CF' initiative, and chatted to VCF MEDIA Radio.
The origin of his fandom
I live in Navarra, an hour from Pamplona, but my mother is Valencian and I have a family in Valencia. From a very young age my uncle bought me Valencia CF shirts, and he took me to Mestalla. With my grandfather an Osasuna and FC Barcelona fan, and my father supporting Real Madrid and Osasuna, I turned out a Valencianista.
A dream come true
It was a dream come true. Meeting the players and meeting the president was a wonderful detail. Then going to El Sadar and getting a big win against Osasuna was great.
Watching the game
It was a great game. I was enormously happy. I went to my classes with the Valencia CF shirt on, with tremendous pride. When Guedes scored, I grabbed my father around the neck.
