Iranzo: ''We'll be eternally grateful to the teammates and the people of the town"
The player from Picanya talks on VCF Media Radio about his experience after the flash floodings that devastated the southern region of Valencia.
Valencia Club de Fútbol is a sentiment that is carried from birth. The López Puig family always transmits their VCF DNA around the world whenever they can. This time, it was to be no different. Víctor and Iker, father and son, travelled more than 7,000 kilometres with Valencia CF by flag.
Little 9-year-old Iker, had his communion trip with the family and they decided, once again, to wear the shirt of the club of his life to visit Orlando, Disney World, Universal Studios and NASA. An unforgettable trip full of passion for Valencia CF.
"We said we would go on the trip wearing the Valencia CF shirt until we got to NASA, as it was difficult for a Valencianista to get there and touch the moon", says Víctor López, Iker's father.
Víctor has fond memories of his first times at Mestalla. At the age of 10, accompanied by his parents, his cousin and his grandfather, he was already watching his beloved Valencia Club de Fútbol playing their 'Trofeu Taronja' matches.
A few years have passed since those experiences and now he is the one who boasts and passes on his Valencianism to his son Iker. Little Iker's first time at the centenary Camp de Mestalla was at Valencia CF's match against Real Valladolid in 2019. That first time he will never forget.
Such is the passion of this young Valencianista that "on the trip to the United States, Iker lost his favourite cap, the Valencia CF one, he couldn't find it and he got very angry", explains his father.
