Full house and closed roof for Lille encounter
Valencia CF’s Wednesday night Champions League game will take place in front of a sellout crowd at Lille’s Pierre Mauroy stadium, with 47,488 fans set to attend the Matchday 3 fixture.
Of those supporters, some 275 will be dedicated Valencia CF fans, who have travelled to the game in the French city to cheer on their team.
The Valencia CF squad itself arrived on Tuesday night at 7:25pm, after a diverted 2-hour flight to avoid adverse weather. The forecast rain and cold temperatures have led to another change for the European contest: The roof of the stadium will be closed.
