Gameiro chasing first Champions League goal for VCF

Valencia CF play in their first Champions League knockout game in seven years when they travel to Milan on Wednesday, and they do so with a player in their squad who has experience of the continental competition's crucial stage.
Kevin Gameiro returned from injury to feature against former club Atletico Madrid last Friday, playing half an hour in the LaLiga game. He has some unfinished business to attend to in Europe, and wants to put it right against Atalanta.
The striker has scored big goals in LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and the Europa League since joining Valencia CF, but is still to open his account for the club in the Champions League.
The last time he played in the Last 16 was with Atletico Madrid, in the 2016/17 season. Against Bayer Leverkusen, in Germany, Gameiro scored and provided an assist in a 2-4 win that proved decisive, with the second leg ending 0-0.
Three years on, the Frenchman will attempt to guide Valencia CF to the quarter finals of the tournament.
