Gonçalo Guedes was the hero once again for Valencia CF in their game against FC Krasnodar, helping them through to the quarter final stage. The Portuguese was delighted to have contributed the vital late goal, and discussed the tie and his own form after the match.
"I feel really good and very happy. It's always positive when you help a team with a goal that allows them to go through to the next stage. The important thing is that we are through.
We always fight to win and to achieve our objectives," he explained.
"We know that it isn't easy and that we're up against some very good opponents. We will gradually try to win ever game and get a winning run together. We have to carry on like that. We're in three very important competitions and we want to go as far as possible in all of them. We have to give our all and believe, right up until the end."
Asled about any preference for the quarter finals, Guedes welcomed any comers.
"We know that every side still in the Europa League has great players and a great coach. There are no easy teams to beat."
On a personal level, with his fitness improving and getting more minutes, the Valencia CF players is gradually returning to his best.
"I'm feeling better all the time. It hasn't been at all easy, and I thought that things were going to go more quickly, but things don't always go how you want. I try to improve with every game and things are starting to work out well. I'm not at 100% still, but I want to get there as soon as possible."
"We want to win every remaining game. Getafe CF are in the battle with us and we know that this weekend's game will be difficult."
