Home form sparks regional derby optimism

Valencia CF are in LaLiga action on Saturday against Elche CF (6:30pm CET), in a regional derby that comes off the back of victory over Celta Vigo. The team carry a five-game unbeaten run into their return to Mestalla, where they have enjoyed solid home form this season.
The support of the fans has been decisive for Valencia CF, and José Bordalás' side are yet to lose at Mestalla since full capacity has been permitted again. Games against RCD Mallorca and Atletico Madrid saw late turnarounds in the last minutes, leading to valuable points.
Valencia CF are one of only two LaLiga teams -together with Real Madrid- with a streak of five games or more without losing.
They are also one of the most reliable teams in front of goal at home; only once have they failed to score at Mestalla this season. Just three teams in LaLiga have a perfect record for home goals.
