VCF Juvenil A mark their first week of preseason and with it, their new coaching staff led by José Bargues, whom following his great campaign at the VCF Femenino reins, now takes on a new challenge in the Juvenil A dugout.
José Bagues shared his first impressions and expectations for the season with VCF Juvenil A on VCF Media.
“Coaching VCF Juvenil A is an honour for me. As I always say this is my home, it’s an honour and a huge responsibility because these footballers are really close to professional football and our duty is to ensure that they cover that path as best and as soon as possible. There’s a big allure of excitement amongst the whole coaching staff.
That excitement shines through in these first few weeks of on-field training with the boys getting a touch of the ball. A group that combines a cluster of players from last season and the ones breaking into the team from Juvenil B after becoming group winners in Liga Nacional group VIII.
There’s a great group. They are well-drilled players that have been at the VCF Academy and there are aspects very much instilled in them besides that competitive DNA which they showcased last year.
It’s a big responsibility even more so at Valencia CF who are always looking at homegrown products. The players know that they are one step away from the b team and two steps from the first team.
Going back to normal with a two term regular season is going to be really good for us, besides we have the motivation of knowing that the top for sides will play the Copa del Rey. We hope that the team come together to start producing results to take the title race down to the wire”.
