Martínez Valero unforgettable for Lato and Soler
The Estadio Martínez Valero will always be a special stadium for Valencia CF players Toni Lato and Carlos Soler. On Friday evening, the pair return to the place where they first felt like Primera División stars. When both of them were playing at Benjamin level in the VCF Academy, they participated in a tournament in which they met Villarreal CF there. Tonight, they chase the 3 points in LaLiga against Elche.
The experience was an unforgettable one for both, and included a victory for Valencia CF. It was also a little bit of club history: In that game, Lato played as a left back for the first time in his life.
Having started out as a striker, he had steadily dropped deeper at the VCF Academy, and in the contest in Elche the coaches decided that his potent wing work would be ideal for attack and defence. Their decision paid off, as it would be in that position that Lato made it to the first team.
Soler's performance, meanwhile, caused a sensation, as he fired in five goals. The first time for the duo of teammates and close friends at the Martinez Valero was unforgettable, but they want to make more memories this Friday. They meet Elche with a chance to do just that, only at the highest level.
