Valencia CF travelled to southern Madrid to take on Getafe CF on Saturday, the 12th of March at 9 pm kick-off time (local time) at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on Matchday 28 of LaLiga Santander.

On 13 minutes, Bryan Gil whipped the ball in, but it was collected by David Soria at the near post.
Valencia CF found it tough to make inroads going forward and break down the Getafe CF backline halfway through the first half at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

The first half finished goalless at half-time between Valencia CF and Getafe CF.
The second half started in a similar fashion with a hard-fought passage of play in the opening stages.
Moments later, José Bordalás made a like-for-like substitution with Maxi Gómez replacing his fellow striker Hugo Duro up front just under the hour mark in the game.
Borja Mayoral thought to have scored after a hapless Giorgi Mamardashvili goal kick, but the goal was disallowed for a handball offence as the ball came off the arm of Borja Mayoral on its way in.
