Match Report: VCF MESTALLA snatch late win against Nffc FC B (0-1)

VCF failed to complete the comeback in a franticly open second half against Atzeneta UE in the opening matchday of the second term of the season in group III-B in Segunda División B.
The match ended in a 2-3 away win in a hard-fought first half and a franticly open in the second half that delivered four goals as Willam de Camargo and Bashiru. M. were handed their VCF Mestalla debuts.
The start of the game followed the anticipated script. VCF Mestalla dictating the tempo while the away side were orderly sitting off and disciplined at the back. Óscar Fernández side tried to use the wings.
Fran Navarro delivered an in-swinging cross but neither Hugo González nor Emaná got on the end of it. A carbon copy of the move happened just before the interval with Jesús Vázquez but Fran Navarro could not quite reach it.
The away side opened the deadlock in a rare foray through Gutierrez with a low drive inside the post minutes before the break.
VCF Mestalla emerged in the second half looking to turn the game on its head but the away side pounced on a defensive let-off and aforementioned Gutierrez doubled the away side’s lead.
Óscar Fernández shuffled his pack trying to get something out of the game. Carlos González a debutant William de Camargo came on as the game opened up by the minute.
A Three goal rush in just four minutes VCF Mestalla cut the deficit off of a corner kick taken by Carlos González which was flicked on by William de Camargo and Fran Navarro smashed it home. The joy was short-lived as Iosu restored Atzeneta UE’s two-goal lead.
However, VCF Mestalla refused to back down and produced an instant impact at the other end through Facu García who slotted it home outside the area. Another goal came for VCF Mestalla through Emaná which was disallowed for a heavily protested offside call.
The scoreline remained unchanged and Valencia CF Mestalla fell just short of a comeback at full-time.
