Match Report: VCF Femenino claim morale-boosting point (0-0)

The game saw a frantic opening ten minutes with both sides pressing high up the pitch to make building up from the back difficult for the opposition. The home side were setting up nicely and breaking into the opposition box with menace. Atletico Madrid tried to impose themselves with their physicality, in tussles, and on the break.
Enith pulled off a superb reaction save to Ludmila’s effort as Atletico Madrid were slightly growing into the game enjoying more of the ball and probing down the wings.
Over the 30-minute mark, Valencia CF were defending resolutely and Salmi had a chance a minute later, after great Asun work down the left but her shot was cleared away by the Atletico Madrid backline. The home side stood tall and never lost face of the game.
The first half finished scoreless with all to play for in the second half at the Antonio Puchades.
The home side had a strong start to the second half surging forward at Valencia CF Femenino who were tough to break down in defence with an in-form Enith between the posts who scrambled away a seemingly Ludmila goal close to the hour mark.
The wear and tear were beginning to show for both sides which could unbalance the contest. The focus was the key with VCF Femenino lacking efficiency going forward as Atletico Madrid were up against an insurmountable Valencia CF Femenino.
The game opened up in the closing minutes with chances at either end but the game finished points shared with nothing to separate the sides at full-time.
