Meet VCF Mestalla preseason fixture list

The b team led by Angulo will play nine preseason games before the competition starts

VCF Mestalla have already returned to work from their holiday break. They reported for duty on Monday. Miguel Ángel Angulo’s side arrived at the Ciutat Esportiva to undergo the preseason medical and fitness tests.

After a few days, the players are carrying out on-field training which is just the starting gun to build up their match fitness which will come to a close on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of September with their Tercera RFEF opener.

But before then, they will play a few preseason friendlies which will lay the foundations to build a competitive squad that in Angulo’s own words “must be competitive and have to come out to win every game”.

The first preseason meeting will be on Saturday, July 31st up against UD Castellonense at the Ciutat Esportiva.  

On Wednesday, August 4th Angulo’s team with play the first of the two friendlies against Sesiones AFE side at home at 7:30 pm kick-off time. Days later, on Saturday, August 7th the VCF Mestalla will host CD Eldense for their third preseason friendly at 7:30 pm kick-off time.

Their fourth preseason friendly will see them take on Nastic Tarragona on the 11th of August at 7:30 pm kick-off time against a side who will play in the Primera RFEF this season.

That same week, they will travel to Teruel to take on CD Teruel on Saturday the 14th of August at 7:30 pm kick-off time. A few days later, they will play their second preseason friendly against Sesiones AFE yet again at the Ciutat Esportiva at 7:30 pm kick-off time.  

VCF Mestalla will play away at Torrent against one of the sides to meet in the Tercera RFEF. The week before the start of the competition well two high-level tests.

The first meeting will be on the 25th of August at the Ciutat Esportiva against Hércules a side with great aspirations of winning promotion to Primera RFEF. And lastly, they will play their final preseason game at the Luis Súñer Picó a regular ground almost every preseason. They will take on UD Alzira at 8 pm kick-off time.

Both the kick-off times and the grounds are subject to changes amongst other reasons due to the weather, the high temperatures in our country during the summer period.
