Ninot for derby against Levante UD unveiled

The 'Sempre Falles' initiative varies its usual protocol for the derby against Levante UD on Matchday 27, as Valencia CF make the trip across town to the Ciutat de Valencia stadium with a special Ninot to present to the opponents.
Whilst the figurine is usually given to teams who visit Mestalla, with the derby falling close to Fallas it was decided to move the action to this Friday.
In the run-up to the derby, Valencia CF and the Ayuntamiento city council have entrusted artist Alejandro Santaeulalia with designing the Ninot for the occasion.
Entitled ‘Germans de la misma terra,' it includes the mascots of the two teams, competing for an aerial ball. Both are supporting themselves on the Exposición bridge, which represents the city of Valencia.
The Ninot shows the good relationship between Valencia CF, Levante UD and the respective fanbases, which coexist in harmony in Valencian society.
