Baraja: "We want to dedicate the victory to the victims and those affected by the 'DANA'"
The coach previews the game against Real Betis
As a result of the assertions made by Libertad VCF and reproduced by several media outlets, in which the group openly misrepresent the truth, Valencia CF wish to issue a reminder that the hearing on December 9th was recorded, and would like to publicly state that:
1. We are saddened by the lies of Libertad VCF, who affirm in a statement that Valencia CF lawyers "offered the payment of an indemnity bond of 100,000 euros as an alternative to accepting the precautionary measures requested by Libertad VCF."
2. The Valencia CF lawyers asked the judge for a bond to impose on the Libertad VCF association in exchange for the damages caused by postponing the Shareholders General Meeting if the measure were upheld. The provision of the bond is a mandatory legal requirement for anyone requesting a precautionary measure. In other words, in no case did Valencia CF "offer" any amount. This is an elementary legal matter.
3. In this sense, it is a falsehood and a legal aberration to affirm that Valencia CF were prepared to deposit 100,000 euros from its coffers to prevent shareholders from being able to access the Shareholders General Meeting. This is not directly an option that the Law recognizes. This statement could imply that a judicial decision could be modified by contributing an amount of money.
4. We regret and denounce that some media outlets have given fuel to this type of falsehood, without any contrasting of information or journalistic rigor hoping to generate controversy instead of seeking the truth. We hope that “groups” like Libertad VCF will stop deceiving some of the media and the fans with such serious falsehoods.
