Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
"Yesterday was my last day as Valencia CF coach. I would like to thank those who gave me the opportunity to form part of this wonderful club.
I have had the possibility to experience magical moments that I will always carry in my memory and in my heart. A special memory is our participation in the Champions League and every game at Mestalla, where we went unbeaten in LaLiga thanks to the support of our incredible fans.
Being coach of Valencia CF is a big responsibility, and I leave the club with the feeling of having done the job with respect and honesty.
I want to thank the fans for their affection and help, both on and off the pitch. I also want to thank each and every one of the employees who work for the club.
I thank those who form part of the first team for their help with carrying out my work, with a special mention for the players with whom we have shared great moments.
I wish the club and the Valencia CF family all the best.
Amunt Valencia."
