Dani Parejo has had an outstanding career so far at Valencia CF, and his contract extension means that he is set to further increase his impressive stats through to at least 2022.

Parejo arrived at Mestalla on June 14th, 2011, aged 22. He joined from Getafe on an initial 5-year deal. Eight seasons on, at the age of 29, his buyout clause now stands at 50 million and he has established himself as one of the leaders of the team.

Since signing for the club, Parejo has played 310 official games in a Valencia CF shirt. He ranks amongst the Top 25 players with the most appearances for the club. In LaLiga he has run out for VCF on 231 occasions, with a further 39 games in the Copa del Rey, 21 in the Champions League and 19 in the Europa League.
51 GOALS
The Spanish star has also scored a healthy amount of goals from midfield. He has found the net on 51 occasions, with 43 goals in LaLiga, 5 in the Copa del Rey, 2 in the Europa League and 1 in the Champions League. His particular speciality is set pieces, having a large number of goals from free kicks and penalties. Parejo's best goal haul for a single season is 12, in 2014/15.
1 APPEARANCE FOR SPAIN
Parejo's club performances received a reward on the international stage on March 27th, 2018, when he made his unofficial debut for Spain. Playing a friendly for La Roja against Argentina, he featured in a brief cameo as an 82nd minute sub during the 6-1 win. The VCF captain previously made 17 appearances for Spain at Under-20 and Under-21 level, including winning the UEFA U-21 European Championship in 2011.
