Paulista: "The fans know that we are growing every day and they are always with us"
Gabriel Paulista spoke to the media at the end of the match against RC Celta (0-0) on Matchday 14 of LaLiga EA Sports 2023-24.The Brazilian defender analyzed what happened in the match played at the Camp de Mestalla.
Defenses prevailed
It was a hard-fought match. Both defenses did well. They don't deserve to be where they are, because they have a good team and could be in a better position. They looked for the goal, but we were good at the back. They closed down the inside and that didn't make us look for more play on the outside. We have to take the positives. Winning at home is important. It's also important to keep a clean sheet. Now it's time to rest. The next match will be difficult, but we'll be looking for the three points.
A difficult challenge
Congratulations to Cristhian, because he is growing every game. I am very happy for him. Celta's forwards are very good players, especially Iago. He is a very experienced player, very intelligent, he knows where he has to play, the spaces... He is very difficult to defend, but we were focused and accurate at the back. We got the ball out well, which is also important. We have to continue like this. The most important thing is to win.
Mestalla
It's a shame, but we want to thank the fans for their support once again. We always want to make them happy.
