Corberán: “It’s time to compete and to give our all”
The coach looks ahead to the game against Deportivo Alavés
Cristiano Piccini returned to the Ciudad Deportiva for the first time since suffering a serious knee injury, beginning his recovery process this Tuesday at the Valencia CF training ground. The Italian fractured his patella a fortnight ago, and was required to undergo surgery on August 29th at the Clínica Begoña in Gijón. After several days rest, he is now at Paterna again to begin working towards a comeback.
There is still a long way to go before Piccini will be able to play again, but he is highly motivated to go through the required steps. On day one, the fullback received physiotherapy treatment and was given special toning work for the muscle mass not affected by his injury.
Passing by to see him and offer moral support were all of his first team teammates, who hope to have Piccini back with them as soon as possible.
