Piccini: “I come back strong and motivated after playing with the national team”

He has just taken another step forward in his career after debuting with the national team and is now focused on the next match against CD Leganés. Cristiano Piccini keeps growing just like the team. On Thursday he gave an interview to VCF MEDIA and admited: “I never lacked the desire and I want to continue growing and improving”.

Congratulations on your debut with Italy!

Yes, it’s been a nice week I can’t ask for anything else. It’s a big pride to defend my country and I’m glad I made it.

How was the experience?

When the coach called me to make me debut I got very excited, it was nice, I’ve worked well these past years and I think I deserved it.  

You like tattoos, one of them has the word “commitment’’, is that a reflection of how you see your football career?

Some tattoos are very personal. I did them when I was going through difficult times, for instance when I got my knee injured. That’s something I believe in, I’m committed to what I do and so when I come back home after working, I look at myself in the mirror and I’m satisfied as long as I did a good job.
