Pleasant meeting between players of Valencia CF Women's Camp in Saudi Arabia and Layhoon Chan
The Valencia CF expedition in Riyadh received a very special last message of encouragement on Wednesday in the hours leading up to the Spanish Super Cup semi-final: that of a representation of players from the Valencia CF Women's Camp in Jeddah.
Valencia CF president Layhoon Chan, along with corporate director Javier Solís, marketing director Jorge García, sporting director Miguel Ángel Corona, Jaume Domènech, and ambassadors Ricardo Arias and Miguel Ángel Bossio, received four of the players who over the last few days have enjoyed this pioneering experience carried out by Valencia CF to promote and develop women's football in Saudi Arabia.
Both president Layhoon Chan and Jaume Domènech have encouraged them to continue advancing with passion in their football journey in Saudi Arabia, which in 2022 will create the women's national league and the women's national team.
This 1st Valencia CF Women's Camp in Saudi Arabia is another example of Valencia CF's commitment to equality and the empowerment of women, which was already reflected in the agreement signed in 2015 by president Layhoon Chan with UN Women to promote gender equality.
The players also had the opportunity to greet Edinson Cavani, take a photo with him and live a great experience that will continue tonight at the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup between Valencia CF and Real Madrid CF, the culmination of a week full of football for these young players.
Promoting women's football in the Middle East
Over the last few days at the Waad Academy in Jeddah, around 40 players between the ages of 12 and 16 have been able to learn about the working methodology of the VCF Academy on the pitch, with the presence of two coaches from the VCF Academy and in collaboration with the Jeddah Pro Football Academy and The Futbol Office.
This Valencia CF Campus in Saudi Arabia is a first step in a process with which Valencia CF aims to develop women's football in various countries in the Middle East that have already shown interest in working with Valencia CF to promote women's football, as is already being done in many of the VCF Soccer Academies in Seattle, Houston, Canada and Greece, among others.
Valencia CF Soccer Academy Programs
The VCF Soccer Camps that Valencia CF runs in various countries around the world are part of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs, which together with the VCF Soccer Academies that the club has in strategic markets in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia help to expand the Valencia CF brand and what its colours symbolise worldwide. This Internationalisation Strategy has been a finalist in the World Football Summit Awards 2022.
The main objective of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs, in addition to expanding the image of Valencia CF and its philosophy around the world, is to take the training methods of Valencia CF to any part of the planet and spread the values that have always accompanied this Club, making the participants enjoy and learn from the hand of the best professionals of the Valencia CF Academy, one of the best in Europe in the training of players for the elite, according to the latest reports of the CIES Football Observatory.
The Valencia CF Soccer Camps, Training Stages, the VCF Soccer Academy and the Sports Consultancy services are just some examples of this great project.
