Winter signing Rubén Sobrino could make his Valencia CF debut on Thursday night against Celtic, as he travelled with the squad to Scotland for the Europa League showdown.
The new arrival is one of the players in contention to replace Santi Mina and Rodrigo in the VCF attack, with both unavailable through injuries. He spoke after Wednesday night's training at Celtic Park to give his thoughts.
"Being able to play in this competition is a boost for any player. I think that the majority of players dream about playing in these types of competitions. It's also a dream for me to play here," he told VCF MEDIA.
"It's a really nice ground. We've seen Champions League and Europa League games here, and it stands out because of the atmosphere. I hope I'm lucky enough to be able to play here. We'll try to enjoy ourselves and hopefully take away a victory."
Sobrino has spent just a few weeks with the group, but has been impressed with what he's seen so far.
"The squad have come through that little dip that they had. I've been surprised by the unity in the group. I hope that we carry on like this, so that we can all continue to grow."
"I'm also aware that the fans are excited about this competition. We have chances in all three competitions and I know that everyone is motivated. I think that the players are as well."
