This summer the VCF Academy celebrated 19 international campuses in various locations across Europe and North America, in countries such as Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Canada. Hundreds of participants were able to enjoy football and get to know more about Valencia CF in the process.
More than 1,000 children took part in the Summer Campuses, in which the club ensured that strict hygiene, attendance and safety protocol was followed to the letter to protect those present.
Supervising were the team from the Academy Programs department at Valencia CF, connecting daily from the Ciudad Deportiva by video connection due to the difficulties involved in sending them to venues from Valencia. Despite the disruptions caused by the COIVD-19 pandemic, the VCF Academy continued to go to great lengths to provide an optimal experience.
Video calls with players and online training with local coaches enabled the club to monitor the Campuses from afar, spreading the Valencia CF methodology to cities such as Montreal in Canada; Ravena in Italy; Amsterdam, Assen, Breda, Rotterdam, Utrech, Haastrecht, Drachten, Blijham, Heerlen and Wassenaar in the Netherlands; and Anzegem, Bocholt, Varsenare, Wommelgem, Ereken and Heeklgem in Belgium.
