Travelling squad land in Saudi Arabia

The Valencia CF travelling expedition for the Spanish Supercopa left Manises airport for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at 5:35pm on Monday, where they will contest the competition starting on Wednesday.
Albert Celades has called up every member of the squad for the trip, even those out with long term injuries such as Cristiano Piccini. Joining the established first team players are Cristian Rivero and Vicente Esquerdo of VCF Mestalla.
The flight, which lasted just over 5 hours, was made on an Airbus A340-300, with the players enjoying board games and drinking mate tea -a speciality of Maxi Gómez- along the way.
Upon landing in Jeddah, where temperatures were around 19ºC, the players headed to the team hotel. On Tuesday they will prepare at the Ittihad FC training facilities, ahead of Wednesday's game against Real Madrid.
