Match Report: VCF MESTALLA snatch late win against Nffc FC B (0-1)
oselu's last-gasp goal earned VCF Mestalla the win on Matchday 2 of the Premier League International Cup
The VCF Academy took four victories from four games through their 11-a-side teams this past weekend, in what was a successful few days acros the region for the youth setup.
The most convincing win was that earned by VCF Mestalla, who beat Atlético Levante 5-0. The match featured 5 minutes of madness in the first half, in which they scored twice thanks to Fran Navarro and Emaná. In the second, G. Molina and K. Koba Lein were both on target.
The result means another three points for Óscar Fernández' side, who take on La Nucia on Saturday at 5pm CET in Grupo III-B i Segunda B. The fixture will be their last of 2020.
VCF Juvenil A picked up their first three points away from home, besting Hércules 1-2 through strikes from Arilla and Loren. Miguel Ángel Angulo's side remain in third place in Grupo VII-B of the Division de Honor.
In the Liga Nacional, VCF Juvenil B beat Vilamarxant CF 2-0. A hard fought victory came courtesy of a brace from Mario in the second half and another a clean sheet. After 8 matchdays, VCF Juvenil B are top of Grupo VIII-B in the Liga Nacional, and have extended their advantage over the chasing pack. Next weekend they are visited by second placed CD Roda.
VCF Infantil B defeated CD Onda 0-5 in a rescheduled game, which had been postponed from Matchday 1 of the Regional Preferential Infantil campaign. The result makes it three victories in three games for the team coached by Alfredo Ramos. On Tuesday, December 8th, from 11:00am, they play another rescheduled fixture -against Primer Toque CF.
