Valencia CF attend VII LaLiga Youth Academy Meeting

The VCF Academy has already cleared all of LaLiga's objectives in the Plan Impulso as it sets new challenges to keep on growing

The Valencia CF Academy took part in the VII Youth Academy Meeting that LaLiga recently organised in Seville, bringing together many of the representatives of Spanish youth football from the 42 clubs that make up LaLiga.

VCF Academy Director, Luis Martínez, and VCF Academy Operations Coordinator, Borja Eroles, took part in a youth academy meeting that is part of LaLiga's National Plan for the Optimisation and Improvement of Youth Academies.

The league with the highest number of youngsters across the big five

 LaLiga is the domestic competition with the highest number of youngsters across the big five European leagues (England, Germany, France, Italy and Spain), with 21.21% according to data from the CIES Football Observatory.

In the last report of this Observatory, the VCF Academy was recognised as the sixth in Europe with the highest number of graduates developed at the VCF Academy that are currently competing in the Big 5.

This National Plan for the Optimisation and Improvement of LaLiga's youth academies is part of the LaLiga Impulso programme in which the VCF Academy meets all the requirements and objectives set out for all clubs for the coming seasons in terms of:

Structure and development of professionals:

- Infrastructure and resources

- Training model and transfer into competition

- Comprehensive attention to the player

- Development and transfer to professional football:

In fact, Laliga set new, broader objectives for the VCF Academy in order not to stop its growth.

In this LaLiga Impulso Plan, Valencia CF are  the leaders of the first group of clubs with the most ambitious objectives (group 2) with 83.3% achievement of the objectives set.

110 players in 30 years

Since the official opening of the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna in 1992, 110 players have made their first-team debuts for the first team, having previously played at least one game for VCF Mestalla.

The latest graduates to join this list are players such as Alberto Marí, Diego López, Fran Pérez, Javi Guerra and Cristhian Mosquera amogst others.
