The Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (Feder) celebrated its official act for World Rare Disease Day on March 15th. The federation's new awareness campaign, supported by Queen Letizia of Spain, bears the slogan “How do you see yourself in 2030?” and is focused on guaranteeing equitable access to social and healthcare resources. In Spain, more than three million people are affected by such conditions.
Teo Swee Wei, the director general of the VCF Foundation, attended on behalf of Valencia CF, and was welcomed by Juan Carrión, president of Feder, at the Ciudad de León Auditorium where the event was held.
A pioneering alliance between Valencia CF, the VCF Foundation and Feder began in June 2021, the club becoming the first in Spain to have a collaboration agreement with the entity. Through this alliance, Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation are committed to providing visibility and supporting research into rare diseases, and helping to improve the quality of life of those affected by them.
