The Valencia CF coach talks after the 2-2 result against Deportivo Alavés
Valencia CF continue to work intensely on the development of their International Project, reaching a new agreement with Georgian First Division club, FC Saburtalo. One of the main clubs in the country, they are winners of 1 League title, 2 Georgian Cups, 1 Georgian Super Cup and 1 Erovnuli Liga 2 title. In addition, next season they will play in the UEFA Conference League.
The main objective of this agreement is to develop all the necessary structures so that the FC Saburtalo Academy becomes as professional as possible, implementing a training plan for the coaches and giving the academy its own identity.
It will also provide Georgian players with the best resources for their football and personal development, capturing talent from all over the country and promoting the presence of footballers trained at the club's own youth academy -under the influence of the methodology of the VCF Academy- in the first team of FC Saburtalo.
The President of FC Saburtalo, Tariel Khechikashvili commented that “Valencia CF aare a traditional, strong and prosperous club. The decisive factors have been their responsibility, professionalism and involvement in the handling of the issues to be dealt with. It is an honour that the vision of Valencia CF and Saburtalo have coincided. I take this opportunity to thank Valencia CF for their excellent welcome. I am sure that our cooperation will bear fruit and will be prosperous for both clubs."
With this agreement, Valencia CF continues its international expansion and its commitment to spreading the working methodology of the VCF Academy, as well as its educational project, strengthening ties between peoples and cultures through football and the values of sport.
Sean Bai, Director General of the VCF Academy, said that: “Valencia CF are constantly looking for collaborations and interesting projects around the world. FC Saburtalo has been a great friend to the club, and we share similar ideals and sporting philosophies. It is a great pleasure to collaborate with like-minded partners like Saburtalo. Both parties will benefit greatly from each other's experience and knowledge. This is the first step in our partnership and will open the door to more opportunities for collaboration in the future.”
This strategic alliance between Valencia CF and FC Saburtalo represents yet another success, after reaching the agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Sports Program (SSFDT) and highlights the international prestige of Valencia CF and their Academy, as a reference in terms of the effort and work of a project that has no ceiling.
Thus, Valencia CF, through the success of the VCF Academy and the International Programs area, consolidate themselves as one of the benchmark European clubs in talent development and training, as reflected in the CIES Football Observatory ranking where Valencia CF have been consolidated in recent years in the Top 5 of the clubs whose Academies train the most players to compete in the elite.
