As part of the 'ADN Mestalla Solidari' campaign, the club will recognise local organisation Protección Civil ahead of the game between Valencia CF and Deportivo Alavés.
Throughout history, many diverse risks have emerged that humanity has had to live with, which requires initiating action strategies to minimise the effects of catastrophes when they materialise.
Protección Civil is in charge of the physical protection of people, property and the environment in situations of serious risk. Their cornerstones are prevention, planning and emergency management. They currently consist of some 60 volunteers in the region.
Protección Civil will be given visibility and support from Valencia CF in the new initiative, which works with Valencian NGOs and charities.
Manuel Sánchez, deputy chief of Protección Civil and Valencia CF member since 1993, said that "for the club to show this support for the Protección Civil volunteers, when they have made an important commitment towards the fight against COVID-19 and other emergencies that have occurred in the Valencia region and in Spain, makes me proud and honored."
