Valencianistas from around the world unite to promote social inclusion, values education and fight racism
Valencia CF's matches against Real Madrid and RCD Espanyol at the Camp de Mestalla were once again marked by the solidarity of Valencianistas from all over the world.
Valencia CF once again joined forces with MatchWornShirt, to great acclaim, to launch the last two charity auctions, the proceeds of which will go to two institutions with a common objective: to attend to the basic, urgent and increasingly recurrent needs of all those who find themselves in situations of poverty and social vulnerability.
Nearly €17,000 raised by both auctions will go to the Casa Caridad and Red Cross organisations with the mission of fighting for social inclusion, education in values and combating racism.
Casa Caridad, which will receive the proceeds from the auction held at the Valencia CF - Real Madrid match, is an independent and plural institution that does not discriminate against anyone for reasons of race or beliefs, and is guided by mutual respect among all users for the rules of coexistence. Proof of this is that this institution, throughout 2022, has provided service to a total of 4,206 people, of which 63% were foreigners of more than 40 different nationalities.
In addition, the proceeds from the inaugural match of the Camp de Mestalla were also donated to Casa Caridad, a deeply-rooted institution of reference in Valencia. 100 years later, Valencia CF wanted to make a nod to its origins to celebrate the centenary of the Valencianista temple.
On the other hand, the Red Cross represents the largest humanitarian, citizen and independent movement in the world. It has been working for 159 years with public and private entities to bring humanity and dignity to all people everywhere, at all times and in all circumstances.
The Red Cross Migrant Integration project will be the recipient of the proceeds of the auction corresponding to the Valencia CF - RCD Espanyol match. This project aims to contribute to the integration of migrants in their host community, based on an intervention with a person-centred approach and reinforced with environmental interventions.
