The VCF Academy and the San Vicente Mártir Universidad Catolica in Valencia have signed an agreement to promote study and research in football, to provide both university students and VCF Academy coaches with access to better training.
By virtue of this agreement, the two entities establish a professional alliance with an educational purpose, for training, sharing data and being part of common research projects.
Among other aspects, the VCF Academy will provide the necessary data for the preparation of undergraduate projects, Master's projects, doctoral theses and other research works, as well as welcoming internship students from the various Degrees and Masters courses taught by the UCV linked to sports.
The agreement was signed this week at the Ciudad Deportiva, in the presence of the Director General of the VCF Academy, Sean Bai, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences at the university, Consuelo Moratal, as well as Florentino Huertas, Co-Director of the International Master's Degree in Training Methodology and Assessment of Performance in Soccer and Urko Cherta, Head of the Identity and Human Development Department of the VCF Academy.
"With this agreement we want to reinforce the link with the UCV that we have already established in recent years," says Bai. “At the VCF Academy we are firmly committed to collaborating with universities and entities that promote research into football, which can improve the training of our coaches so that they are able to transmit all their knowledge to the more than 400 people who train every day at the Ciudad Deportiva.
Moratal highlighted that the agreement is beneficial for both parties, and that it provides students of the different degrees of the Faculty of CAFD with internships in a real context of excellence, such as that offered by the VCF Academy.
