Valencia CF to compete in LaLiga FC Futures International tournament
The U13 team won the tournament on its latest edition.
II VCF Academy World Cup kicked off on Friday at the Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF in Paterna and until Sunday will bring together more than 150 players from the different VCF Soccer Academies that Valencia CF has in America, Asia and Europe.
From Wakayama to Seattle, from Houston or New York, from Bruino to Montreal, from Greece, Cyprus, the Netherlands and Belgium... united by their passion for football and sharing the Valencia CF crest, for a few days the Ciutat Esportiva of Valencia CF brings together players of different nationalities, races and cultures in a unique multicultural experience.
The meetings between VCF Academy Seattle and VCF Academy Greece and the match between VCF Academy New York and VCF Academy Southeast Europe opened a full day full of activity on the 8-a-side pitches of the Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF and full of colour in the stands with families and supporters cheering on their respective teams.
This II VCF Academy World Cup is an example of Valencia CF's commitment to extend its brand image to all corners of the planet, sharing the same philosophy in the VCF Academy: Sentiment, Courage and Germanor, in a club that is inclusive and open to all.
In Valencia and at the II VCF Academy World Cup we feel at home," said Joe Campos, Director of the VCF Academy Seattle (USA), who are repeating their presence at this international tournament after the great experience of 2022.
For the VCF Academy Japan from Wakayama and Kanazawa, it is their first time and they couldn't be happier. "The kids are really enjoying themselves," admits Yoshio Nakatani, Director of the VCF Academy Japan. "Last year we couldn't come because of the COVID situation but we are enjoying it very much and we are delighted to be in Valencia," says Yoshio, who has been linked to Valencia CF since 2010.
“I like the crest and the bat and I have been fighting for more than 10 years in Japan for this crest. I'm going to keep flying with the kids," says Yoshio.
The II VCF Academy World Cup is one of the actions that form part of the VCF Academy Programs.
