Valencia and the Ciutat Esporta de Paterna will host hundreds of young players under 12 years of age from all over the world to enjoy football and participate in this second edition of the VCF Academy World Cup for a week, aiming to repeat and improve the great experience of 2022.
"The idea is to consolidate the VCF Academy World Cup as an international reference and make it an event where every season the different VCF Soccer Academies that we have around the world, as well as other clubs and academies linked to the VCF Academy Programs come together," explained those in charge of the VCF Academy Programs.
"Last season's experience was incredible because of the atmosphere that was generated, the opening ceremony at Mestalla, the training camp in the buildup to the tournament, the cultural exchange between players and coaches, the entertainment provided by family members during the days of competition and, above all the footballing performance displayed by every team.
The teams participating in this II VCF Academy World Cup are already booking their places to take part in the tournament and in some cases also to carry out the full training camp at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna with training sessions, work sessions, as well as visits to Mestalla and cultural experiences in the city of Valencia.
"Most of the academies have already confirmed that they are going to repeat in this II VCF Academy World Cup and this edition we will have new ones who want to live this experience for the first time".
Players from different parts of America, Europe, Africa and Asia will enjoy a great football atmosphere and will face an unforgettable experience that has led several of the teams and players to want to repeat their presence in the VCF Academy World Cup, which in its first edition had FK Zalgiris Kaunas as the winner in a first edition that had 10 teams and a competition system with 60 matches marked by VCF DNA.
The aim of this second edition is to repeat the great atmosphere experienced both at the Camp de Mestalla and at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna, to ensure that every team and every player enjoys a great football experience and to improve the small aspects of the tournament so that it can grow edition after edition in terms of quality and exposure.
