The VCF Academy team had enjoyed a great tournament, in which they won 5 of their 6 games. They beat Real Sociedad (0-3), SD Eibar (4-2), SD Huesca (2-0) and Atletico Madrid (0-4) to win their group, then bested Osasuna 3-1 in the Last 16 to make their way to the quarter finals.
