Carlos has 65% disability and the VCF Foundation have appointed him as one of their ambassadors, with his first act in the role being the meeting with VCF Inclusivo.

Director general of the VCF Foundation, Teo Swee Wei, and Carlos's coach, Pepe Claramunt (nephew to his elder namesake), were also in attendance.
