"It's a great experience that you have to have once in your life if you like football"
VCF Academy Canada players enjoy training experience at Valencia CF's Ciudad Deportiva
VCF Infantil A are contesting the Coca-Cola Cup in Georgia this week. It is located 5000 km away from Valencia and is the first international tournament for many of the young players, after the global health crisis had reduced trips abroad to a minimum.
The week in Georgia includes learning both in terms of football -facing opponents from other countries in a short tournament- as well as the human learning experience of spending 24 hours a day with teammates away from home, following daily routines established by the club in which, in addition to the games and cultural visits, there is also time for study and team dynamic work.
VCF Infantil A won their first match, against Shaktar Donetsk, 5-1. In their second game, they drew 1-1 with Bunyodkor from Uzbekistan. The group stage ended on Thursday with a 10-0 win against Georgia's Saburtalo.
The team now go into the semifinals of the competition, which takes place on Saturday.
