Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala

.VCF Juvenil A will play the Al Abtal International Cup, a U19 international competition organised by the Sports Ministry of Saudi Arabia where different clubs from England, France, Portugal Greece, Austria and Croatia, amongst other countries.
VCF Juvenil A will head off to Prague, Czech Republic where they will play the Al Abatal International Cup on Saturday at 4 pm where they will take on Real Madrid CF at the Slavia Prague stadium which held the UEFA Conference League final between West Ham United and Fiorentina.
“Representing the club in a competition like this one that sees the participation of big clubs is very motivating for us,” said Juvenil A head coach, Paco Cuenca.
“The boys are brimming with excitement ahead of their final game of the season in a cup competition up against an opposition like the likes of Real Madrid CF in a great setting like the Eden Arena of Prague, which held a European final a few days ago.
The clash between VCF Juvenil A will be a repeat of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals tie. “I’m expecting a tight game where both sides will try to dominate possession and the game”, says Cuenca.
VCF Juvenil A have qualified for the Final of this international U19 competition in which they are currently unbeaten after finishing first in Group A after having faced AS Monaco, Red Star Belgrade, Sporting Lisbon, Green Future Falcons and White Future Falcons and having beaten Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 in the quarter-finals and Paok Salonica 1-0 in the semi-finals.
Valencia CF have already claimed the Al Abtal back in 2021 in a final that saw VCF beat Atletico Madrid.
With this Al Abtal International Cup VCF Juvenil A round off a season in which the team have displayed a great competitive level and has retained the title in Group VII of División de Honor and also participated in the Copa de Campeones and Copa del Rey.
"We are rounding off a great season. We are very happy with the development of the team, which has shown its face in many competitions, being champions in Group VII of the División de Honor, playing in the Copa del Rey, and the Copa de Campeones and we want to close it with a Cup," concludes Cuenca.
