Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala
Diario Sport and LaLiga present VCF's Alevín A with an award for their behavior in last season’s LaLiga FC Futures
VCF Juvenil B took part in the JSSL International Tournament in Singapore last week, and were finalists in the competition as well as enjoying a new country and culture.
David Pérez' team showed their competitive level and the identity of the VCF Academy, adapting to a new format, pitch dimensions and more, in a tournament involving teams from Europe, Asia and Oceania and contested in intense heat.
VCF Juvenil B made it through the group stage, in which they faced Melbourne City, JDT Johor, Tottenham Hostpur and JSSL FC, a team representing the JSSL Singapore Professional Academy. In the final they faced Tottenham Hotspur again, losing due to a late goal from the English side.
Off the pitch, the players got to immerse themselves in a new culture and visit emblematic spaces in Singapore, such as Marina Bay and Gardens By The Bay.
The Valencia CF also had the chance to have a meetup with a group of kids from the Hut, they accompanied them and cheered them on during the games held at the Tampines Hub amidst an incredible and unforgettable atmosphere.
The VCF Academy also had the opportunity to share its vision on the work that is carried out at the Ciudad Deportiva.
The Technical Coordinator of the VCF Academy, José Bargues, put on an exhibition called "Producing players for the Valencia CF of the future" at the Football Coaches Convention, hosted by former Manchester United player Michael Carrick.
